Case Study #2 - New Lebanon

This project was designed and developed by Turtle Island Design out of Greenfield Massachusetts.  The objective was to design a sustainable pottery studio.  e3eco group was involved purely as a product supplier and are extremely happy to be part of such a beautiful application. Our focus was to ensure the envelope was as energy efficient and as durable as possible.

Key elements of this pottery studio are the Durisol wall form system that allow for not only great insulation but excellent mass wall effect as well.

The high performance Fibertec fiberglass windows are also used extensively on the property with double and triple glazed windows with northern and southern low E applications - allowing for high solar heat and low solar heat gain - based on the windows position within the building and with the overall applications

Other great points of design that are included in this project are the green roof and the shading effects for summer sun.
